How To Avoid PPE Scams

Halyard Responds

O&M Halyard recently became aware of attempted fraudulent activities concerning the sale of our products occurring in connection with COVID-19. We are committed to doing all we can to help our customers and combat this activity. Our customers and consumers should be aware that there are people fraudulently representing themselves as being affiliated with our company or having authentic HALYARD brand product to sell when they don’t. This activity is predominately happening via email and in online marketplaces.

We understand the pressure placed on the entire healthcare supply chain right now and would like to caution all of our customers and consumers about this activity.

Before you agree to purchase any HALYARD branded product be aware of the following:

  • O&M Halyard does not sell or ship product direct to consumers. We sell through a network of Distribution Partners. Make sure you are doing business with an authorized Halyard Distribution Partner.
  • O&M Halyard does not accept payment via BitCoin or PayPal. Any offer that requires payment via these channels or other web based channel is suspect.
  • If you receive an email claiming to come from O&M Halyard and it is sent via an email address that uses a domain other than hyh.com (e.g. [email protected]) it is not an valid email address.
  • Products sold on online marketplaces (Amazon/Wal-Mart/Ebay) are often listed by 3rd party sellers. The only authorized sellers of HALYARD brand product in these channels is Owens & Minor and Amazon (if you are shopping on Amazon). If you purchase from any other seller we cannot guarantee the authenticity of the seller nor the products. Further, we are unable to help you if product does not arrive as advertised. We urge you to be cautious and carefully read ratings and reviews.

If you have any questions or concerns about the validity of an offer, please contact us at [email protected].
